As Purchasing Officer, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities, ensuring the timely supply of materials, and optimizing costs. You will be responsible for selecting and negotiating with suppliers while maintaining strong relationships to secure the best conditions in terms of price, quality, and lead time.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), you will collaborate closely with internal teams to meet operational and production needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Purchasing Management: You identify and select reliable suppliers, manage the procurement process from needs assessment to delivery, and ensure the smooth execution of service contracts (equipment maintenance, installations, legal compliance). You also validate supplier invoices and track purchase orders using an ERP system.
  • Cost Optimization: You negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions to obtain the most competitive costs while maintaining high quality and respecting production deadlines. You implement cost-saving strategies and analyze supplier performance to optimize expenses.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: You build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, anticipate potential risks, and propose collaborative solutions. You conduct performance assessments and initiate improvement actions where necessary.
  • Logistics & Transport: You coordinate transport and customs clearance operations to ensure smooth and timely delivery of supplies. You optimize shipping processes to reduce costs and delays.
  • Performance Monitoring: You track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Market Intelligence: You monitor industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and technological advancements to adapt procurement strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
